Since I’m wearing my Fourth of July outfit today, a post about it probably won’t go up until like…October, especially considering I wore this outfit a few weeks ago and am just getting around to it!

I decided to drive into DC to meet with my friend/roommate on what I thought was the hottest day of the year (but, unfortunately, it just kept getting hotter). So I knew that I didn’t want to even bother straightening my hair, I didn’t want to wear anything that would cause my legs to sweat, and I most definitely didn’t want to spend a lot of time on my makeup.

The outfit didn’t manage to help me escape the heat, but it held up pretty well, and I’m now thrilled that I purchased the skirt that I was at first hesitant about. I’ll be departing for Hawaii soon, so here’s to pairing this gorgeous turquoise skirt with a gorgeous turquoise sky.
